The competition was successfully concluded. Thank you for the support of all the amazing riders! Let’s check out the event highlight!
You may not be a world champion, but a little exercise every day can go a long way to transform your fitness and outperform the person you were yesterday!
Beat the clock this summer at Tour de Link, our annual cross-district in-mall cycling rally that is returning for the fourth year in a row. Take the chance to break through your boundaries – and be amazed by how far you can go!
The competition will be held in two rounds from 7 August to 1 September 2024 at six of Link’s malls across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Each venue will be equipped with fitness bikes for all ages to enjoy fitness fun.
In addition to the regular Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, Family, and “Ace Team” categories, this year, the new “Mile Eater” award is set to recognise the individual rider who records the highest accumulated cycling mileage throughout the competition period. If you’re a bold trailblazer, we invite you to push your limits beyond expectation – success belongs to those who never give up!
Ride for Glory. Ride for Good.
While pedalling your way for individual and team glory, the mileage you cycle during the competition will also contribute to the ranking of your district. If you and your fellow district residents power your district to the highest score, Link will donate meal coupons in your name totalling $100,000 to elderly residents in need residing in the winning districts. So saddle up and get ready to ride for good and spread the joy of victory throughout your community!
Whether you are a devoted fan of Tour de Link or a new rider participating for the first time, come join us and unleash your inner athlete. We look forward to cheering you on during your personal breakthrough at one of Link’s gathering hubs in your neighbourhood!

During the competition period, all cycling enthusiasts are welcome to ride indoor fitness bikes at the six designated Link malls. There are five categories: Men's, Women's, Children's, Family and "Ace Team". For all five categories, the goal for each rider is to ride the longest distance within a specified time; there is no restriction on the number of rides or participating location.
For the individual categories (Men’s, Women’s and Children’s), participants will automatically contend for the “Mile Eater” award. The rider with the longest accumulated mileage achieved for the entire competition period will be crowned the ‘Mile Eater”.
Individual & Family Categories
The individual categories include Men's, Women's and Children's. Participants in the Men's and Women's categories will be given five minutes each to challenge their personal best record. The time limit for each rider in the Children's category is three minutes.
In the Family category, participants need to compete in a team of two comprising one adult (riding an adult bike) and one child (riding a kid’s bike). The duo needs to start at the same time, and each duo will be given a time limit of three minutes. Their combined distance cycled will be recorded as a single entry.
At each location, the first-place winner in the Men’s, Women’s, Children’s and Family categories will be crowned the "District Cycling Champ" in the respective category. The top performers in each category across all six districts will also be awarded the "Hong Kong Cycling Champ" title in the corresponding categories.
Ace Team
In the “Ace Team" category, each participant will be given three minutes for each ride. A participant can either form a new team as the team captain, or join an existing one formed by others. There is no limit on the team size or the number of rides for each player. Members of the same team can ride at different locations at different times. A participant is allowed to join or create more than one team during the competition period. However, the distance cycled each time will only be counted once and contribute to only one team.
The total distance cycled by all the members in the team will be combined into the team’s collective distance. The team with the longest collective distance will be crowned the “Super Ace Team”.
The “Mile Eater” Award (NEW)
The “Mile Eater”, a newly introduced award, has no restrictions on number of rides and locations. All participants in the Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s categories are eligible to compete for the award automatically. The individual with the highest cumulative mileage across the six venues in the two rounds will be awarded the “Mile Eater” award.
District Champ
Furthermore, the collective distance cycled by all participants, regardless of category, in the same district will be generated as the overall district result. The district with the longest combined distance will be crowned the “District Champ”. Your active participation will be instrumental in making your district shine!
Real-time Rankings
To crank up the excitement even more, real-time rankings will be available both at the competition venues and on the event website.
