Link, the manager of Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT; Hong Kong stock code: 823), today (Tuesday) announced its latest funding commitment under its flagship charity and community engagement programme, Link Together Initiatives.
The funding round reinforces Link’s focus on addressing evolving needs across generations and fostering stronger community ties through well-being and social connections. Since its launch in 2013, the programme has committed over $190 million to support more than 200 community projects, partnering with more than 120 charitable organisations and benefitting over 21 million people.
Duncan Owen, Chair of Link, said, “Link is deeply rooted in local communities and our charity and engagement programme, Link Together Initiatives, reflects our commitment to support the communities that we serve. Working in partnership with stakeholders, we support initiatives that respond to changing social needs and strengthen connections across generations. Our aim is to enhance quality of life, nurture a deeper sense of belonging, and to build more inclusive and connected communities.”
In the financial year 2026/2027, Link will support a range of community projects with its NGO partners, commencing in August. The programme introduces two new initiatives alongside ongoing projects, further strengthening its efforts across three core pillars: environmental (1) sustainability, (2) inclusion and active ageing, and (3) youth empowerment.
Among the new initiatives, Backyard Trails – Link with Wellness & Vitality in Nature Initiative encourages elderly participants to engage in nature-based activities that promote healthy ageing, environmental awareness and social connection. Meanwhile, Melo AI Changemakers empowers young people to develop AI-driven solutions to community needs, building digital and problem-solving skills while encouraging youth participation in society.
These new projects complement a portfolio of established programmes that continue to deliver impact at scale. Initiatives such as Food Angel – We Link We Share Programme 2.0 and Nature LINK – My Healing Garden advance sustainability through food waste reduction, biodiversity education and community engagement. In parallel, programmes including the Legacy Multidisciplinary Performing Arts Programme for Golden Agers and Listen & Connect: Hearing Health Programme promote inclusion and active ageing through performing arts, outreach and community support. Together with youth initiatives such as City on the LOOK, these efforts reflect Link’s ongoing commitment to enhancing quality of life and strengthening community connections.
Link will also continue to promote social mobility and youth development through Link University Scholarship, Link Secondary Student Scholarship and other community service programmes.
Details of the sponsored projects are listed in the Appendix.
