Link Asset Management Limited (Link), the manager of Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT; Hong Kong stock code: 823), is pleased to announce today (Monday) the latest funding commitments under its flagship charity and community engagement programme, Link Together Initiatives.
Launched in 2013, the programme has reached a significant milestone and committed over $174 million to support more than 200 projects, benefiting 120 NGOs and reaching over 20 million people.
Duncan Owen, Chair of Link, said, “As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are proud of our ongoing commitment to enhance the communities around our assets and promote sustainability. The latest round of sponsored projects under Link Together Initiatives reflects our dedication to this mission, fostering a sense of community belonging and linking people to a brighter future. Looking forward, we will continue to leverage our significant footprint and community reach to build and promote a more inclusive and sustainable society.”
In financial year 2025/2026, Link will continue this legacy by supporting multiple community projects with its NGO partners launching in October. These projects focus on three key themes – Environmental Sustainability, Inclusion and Active Ageing, and Youth Empowerment – and are designed to help community members live more sustainable and healthy lives while fostering deeper connections within their communities. Details of the projects under each theme are provided below:
Environmental Sustainability: Initiatives under this theme leverage Link’s property portfolio as a platform for education and action, creating tangible social impact by promoting green practices and awareness within local communities.
Inclusion and Active Ageing: Link’s approach to Inclusion and Active Ageing is centred on a ‘seniors for seniors’ model, which empowers elderly beneficiaries by unlocking their potential to contribute meaningfully and foster elderly support within their communities.
Youth Empowerment: Link’s Youth Empowerment programmes focus on supporting a diverse range of young people, providing them with opportunities, skills and resources to overcome barriers and thrive.
At the same time, Link will continue to promote social mobility and self-enrichment among young people through the Link University Scholarship and other internship and community services programmes. Since 2015, over 2,000 outstanding university students who are the first generation in their family to attend higher education have received scholarships on the basis of their academic excellence and community engagement. This year, Link also launched the “Link 20th Anniversary Outstanding Students Scholarship”, which awarded 100 scholarships to local secondary school students.
Details of the sponsored projects are listed in the Appendix.
