The expansion project for the sixth floor of Tsz Wan Shan Playground, an outdoor space at Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre, under Link Asset Management Limited (Link), has now been completed. As a large-scale outdoor playground in a shopping mall with water play facilities, which is rare in Kowloon, it now joins the Sky Garden, Butterfly Garden, Basketball Court and Outdoor Theatre to form a new landmark in the Tsz Wan Shan community, and has become a go-to gathering spot for the local community.
Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre serves surrounding public housing estates and nearby private residential areas, offering a one-stop shopping experience. In recent years, Link has embraced a people-first, placemaking approach to redesign its public spaces, creating more than 80,000 square feet of immersive outdoor leisure areas.
Originally opened in 2020, the Tsz Wan Shan Playground on the mall’s fifth floor featured large-scale water play zone and play equipment such as a two-level flying slide and climbing nets. The newly upgraded playground now spans both the fifth and sixth floors, showcasing a bold, energetic design filled with bright colours and playful polka dots across more than 34,000 square feet. With a wide range of interactive play equipment, the space encourages children to explore, discover, and develop social skills. Directly connected to the seventh floor Sky Garden, the playground blends art, nature, culture, and architecture, adding a unique and expressive personality to the Tsz Wan Shan community.
The rooftop basketball court near the mall has also been refreshed with vibrant red, orange, and yellow hues, along with themed photo walls perfect for sports lovers or friends gathering for a fun hangout. Meanwhile, the outdoor Butterfly Garden on the third floor offers a peaceful escape where residents can get closer to nature while shopping, stepping instantly into a lush green oasis that deepens the connection between people and the natural world—and with one another.
