Once upon a mall stood a shopping centre much like any other, with stores selling goods and people leisurely coming to browse. But when its owner, Link, met good man Kenneth, who shared a vision so grand - to make this place a wonderland where the community could bond, where children and grown-ups alike could laughter and joy both find, in a playground designed with heart and mind…the transformation began in this neighbourhood stand, to bring more fun for all without limits of age or land. Located in Tuen Mun, Link's Kin Sang Shopping Centre recently got a whimsical makeover, inspired by one of its tenants, Kingdom.
Kin Sang Shopping Centre, a previously unassuming neighbourhood mall recently underwent an asset enhancement project, transformed from the inside out. With Kingdom, it has become a giant playground paradise.
What used to be a seemingly unassuming neighbourhood mall revitalised with mystery fun like never before.
Have you seen a shopping mall like this ever before?
The start of this amazing transformation lies in here somewhere. Can you find it?
Don’t let your eyes deceive you either. These distinct spaces with colourful devices are made for both adults and children to enjoy.
“Having fun together should not be a chore,” says Kenneth. “We created Kingdom, so that people in the area won’t need to take long, exhausting trips afar just to have quality bonding time with their families.”
The slides, bouncy castle and go-karts were favourites of Kenneth’s kids. Inadvertently, they became the community’s favourites too!
The go-karts here are even tuned slightly slower so that younger children can enjoy a fun ride too.
“As the mall got a makeover, so did our playgrounds. We are pleased to see parents having just as much fun as their kids. The feedback we received so far has been very positive.”
As if a dream made reality, day by day, the mall started to fill with more and more laughter. “The genuine and healing laughter that we hear inside this mall, is irreplaceable. It has been - and continues to be - our biggest motivation to bring people joy in our space.”
