“Let’s thrive, not in isolation, but in oneness.”
After more than six months, the “Differently Together" exhibition at Link Sustainability Lab at Lok Fu Place is approaching its end. Since the launch of its three key topics - multiculturalism, mental wellness, and active ageing - in November 2023, the Lab has warmly received more than 80,000 visitors.
At the Lab, people from all over the world gathered to learn about and embrace inclusion through diversified exhibition contents, immersive visual experiences, lively and interesting seminars, game experiences and workshops. More than 180 guided tours and 120 free workshops were organised with 2,100 participants from diverse backgrounds joining in. Visitor satisfaction surveys indicate high levels of enjoyment and knowledge acquisition from the workshops. Let's take a look at the highlights of the exhibition!
“Table Talk!” event held in December 2023 provided a chance for visitors to get acquainted with a stranger in 15 minutes. No matter how different we are, there is always room for us to live and dine together.
Have you ever wondered if the person you're sharing your work and relationship problems with is TV and radio host Sammy Leung?
“Raise your arms and push up! Lift your legs!” On a January afternoon, 50 adorable youngsters, ranging from two to six years old, guided a group of seniors, averaging over 70 years old, in easy stretching routines and fitness activities. This heart-warming occasion provided an opportunity for the children to engage and connect with the elderly from an early age, fostering a sense of mutual understanding and care, and nurturing intergenerational bonds.
The children enjoyed instructing the elders on how to craft auspicious knots for the Lunar New Year using beads and yellow and red strings.
How often do you look into a mirror? How long since you have gone through every single detail of your face? Close your eyes gently, allow your inner voice to lead your hand, and begin the journey of drawing self-portrait sightlessly.
Unleash your creativity and match colours, you can craft an adorable bee-shaped flower box and achieve holistic well-being together.
City dwellers are so busy that they cannot spare time for exercise. In the workshop, you can learn easy exercise and stretching on a chair. More endorphins can make you happier!
Elderly people inevitably encounter challenges and inconveniences in their twilight years. By wearing special glasses, we can enter their world, deepen our understanding of their struggles, and learn to take good care of them.
Since its opening in April 2023, the Lab has collaborated with more than 90 cross-sectoral partners – including NGOs and social enterprises, community groups, business partners, professional bodies, universities, government departments and industry peers – to curate content and conduct collaborative events and seminars for promoting sustainable development.
Visitors can acquire practical skills for assisting visually impaired individuals in everyday situations.
Age at home Gerontech Experience Day” showcased more than 40 types of gerontech equipment and provided free health assessment on-site which offered a chance for visitors to discover the convenience and happiness that smart living can bring to the elderly.
Join us for a series of inclusive docent tours and "discover" the world with an instructor with visual impairment.
The Lab will be temporarily closed starting from 11 June for changeover of next theme and will reopen during in Mid-July. If you’ve not had the opportunity to visit the Lab yet, make sure not to miss this chance!
