Continuing on from this summer's global sports fever, Link Asset Management Limited (Link) has become the title sponsor of the “Link Hong Kong Open” golf championship for the next three years, starting in 2024. To help promote golf across Hong Kong’s diverse communities, Link will host its “Link Golf Experience Day” at four Link malls over four weekends for the public to sample the fun on the green for free.

Promoting community participation and the mega event economy

“Link Golf Experience Day” launched with a kick-off ceremony on 25 October at Kai Tin Shopping Centre in Lam Tin. Link Group CEO George Hongchoy joined District Officer (Kwun Tong) Denny Ho, Hong Kong Golf Club General Manager Ian Gardner and local professional golfer Terrence Ng, as well as actor Simon Yam to officiate at the ceremony. Mr Hongchoy, a golf enthusiast, along with other guests, engaged in some casual skill competitions with children, teaching proper swinging techniques and good shot-making.

Residents enjoy free golf experience over four consecutive weekends

Inviting the public to enjoy golf for free, the “Link Golf Experience Day” will be held at Kai Tin Shopping Centre, Lok Fu Place, Stanley Plaza and TKO Spot respectively over four weekends between 26 October and 17 November. Three Play Zones featuring interactive games, a golf simulator as well as exhibition stands will be in place for everyone to experience the thrill of swinging a club while getting initiated with the sport.
