Link Asset Management Limited, (Link) the manager of Link Real Estate Investment Trust, (Link REIT, stock code: 823) announced its launch of one-month fun cycling event “Tour de LINK” in six malls across the Island, Kowloon and the New Territories to promote healthy community starting from 4 August 2021.

“Tour de LINK” aims to encourage Hong Kong citizens to exercise regularly and enhance personal health and wellness. From 4 to 29 August, members of the public are welcome to ride the exercise bikes for free in the six participating malls. Players can compete for the longest distance achieved with other players within their own district and among all districts to win big prizes.

George Hongchoy, Chief Executive Officer, said:

“We are excited to inject some fun and energy into Hong Kong with the community initiative when most people remain grounded amid this Olympic summer. Sports is for everyone and not privileged to professionals, and it will be more interesting if you play in teams or with people in your neighbourhood.”

Individual and district performance rankings will be displayed on TV backdrops in the malls, as well as updated on the designated event page on Link’s community e-magazine Channel 823 on a real-time basis. To link the communities and enhance residents’ sense of belonging to their localities, the winning district with longest riding mileage accumulated will also be recognised. Link will donate a prize to a welfare NGO in the district which accumulates the longest mileage during the competition.

The competition consists of two rounds. The first round will start from 4 to 14 August at Kai Tin Shopping Centre, Lok Fu Place, and Tin Yiu Plaza. The second round will run from 19 to 29 August at Oi Man Plaza, TKO Spot, and Wan Chui Shopping Centre.

Players can also take photos against the creative and district-inspired neon signage that are lit up upon cycling. By sharing the photos on social media and join the “Tour de LINK” photo contest, players will receive chances to win shopping coupons.

Link’s malls have been playing the role of community social hubs. With “Tour de LINK” being the kick-start of the on-going Healthy Community programme, Link is dedicated to nourishing body and mind in Link’s healthy spaces and link people to a brighter future.
