Link Asset Management Limited (Link), the manager of Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT, Hong Kong stock code: 823), today announced the successful conclusion of its “Tour de Link Golf Challenge”, a community engagement initiative that introduced the sport of golf to communities across Hong Kong.

The event tallied more than 30,000 rounds of play for all games, with Lok Fu contributing the largest share of more than 12,000 rounds. After a thrilling nine-day cross-district tournament, Link crowned six outstanding players of the Tour de Link Golf Challenge as "Hong Kong Golf Master" and "Junior Golf Master" in recognition of their exceptional performance.

Meanwhile, Shau Kei Wan emerged as the winning district with a combined score of 506,899 points in the cross-district competition. To show care and support for the community and to recognise the success of Shau Kei Wan, Link donated meal coupons worth $50,000 through 14 NGOs to residents in need in the winning district.

As a partner of the Link Hong Kong Open, we launched this initiative to make golf more accessible. The remarkable response and participation helps to build excitement for the forthcoming Link Hong Kong Open as well as the 15th National Games in which Hong Kong will host the golf competition. This initiative also reinforces our commitment to using sports to strengthen community bonds and encourage healthy lifestyles across Hong Kong.” 

Following the Tour de Link Golf Challenge, the Link Hong Kong Open will be held from 30 October to 2 November at the Fanling Course at the Hong Kong Golf Club. To further promote golf and allow more people to experience the atmosphere of an international tournament, the first two days of the event will be open to the public free of charge.
