Third Batch of BFA Facilities Upgrade at Link

The Link Management Ltd ("The Link") is pleased to announce the third batch of properties where upgrading of the barrier free access (BFA) facilities will be commenced in the coming six months. They are:

New Territories	Siu Hei SC, Retail within Tin Wah Estate, Butterfly Plaza, Fu Heng SC, Fu Shin SC, Hin Keng SC, Kwong Yuen SC, Lek Yuen Plaza

Kowloon	Po Hei CC, Retail within Hong Shui Court, Retail within Tung Tau Estate, Retail within Hong Pak Court

Hong Kong Island	Hing Man CC, Retail within Tung Hei Court, Tin Wan SC

Remarks: SC - Shopping Centre, CC- Commercial Complex

The Link adopts the Best Practicable Principle based on the standards set out in the Buildings Department’s “Design Manual: Barrier Free Access 2008” and other associated requirements. The upgrade will focus on eight major BFA facilities including tactile guide path / warning strip, low platform service counter, accessible toilet, Braille layout map and signage, Visual Fire Alarm, accessible parking space, ramp, and lift with audio and visual functions.

The Link has kicked start the upgrading works in 34 of The Link REIT's properties last year and we are pleased to report on the progress of the upgrading works being done so far. For details please refer to the attached Progress Report.
