Stanley Plaza's PAWS by the Sea sets new world record

312 dog owners gathered at Stanley Plaza to brush their dogs’ teeth for 3 minutes, setting a new Guinness World Record for Most People Brushing Dogs Teeth Simultaneously.

Generous donors bring their pet dogs on board the Stanley Plaza Charity Doggie Bus introduced by The Link and 99bus HK. All proceeds go towards Hong Kong Dog Rescue.

On Sunday 9 December, a new Guinness World Record was set for Most People Brushing Dogs Teeth Simultaneously. The record-breaking event was held at the annual Stanley Plaza PAWS by the Sea organised by The Link Management Limited (“The Link”) and Hong Kong Dog Rescue. Winners of a contest for the best dressed dog were also announced on the day.

During the two weeks of PAWS by the Sea 2012, Stanley Plaza hosted fun and informative dog-themed booths for visitors, offering dog adoption services, games, professional photo shoots and vet consultations, as well as grooming, feeding and communication tips for dog owners.

Ms Hilda Wong, Head of Marketing of The Link, said, “The Link has put a lot of effort into creating a free and fun space for dog lovers and their pet dogs, which is not commonly found in the city. As this will be the first anniversary of Stanley Plaza’s renovation and reopening, we hope to further promote the shopping centre as Hong Kong’s first dog-friendly shopping centre through this series of activities that promises to bring joy and spread the message of caring about pets.”
