The Link, in co-operation with charitable organisations Yan Oi Tong and the Society for Abandoned Animals, has organised two innovative Halloween charity events which take advantage of the versatility of Stanley Plaza. In addition to raising funds for underprivileged groups and abandoned animals, the events also bring two different Halloween experiences to visitors from all walks of life. Yan Oi Tong Zombie Walk for Charity On 26 October, Stanley Plaza will be transformed, for the first time, into a "Zombie Park", where individuals and groups are welcome to join the Zombie Walk for Charity to raise funds for Yan Oi Tong’s worthy mission. There will lots of spooky and exciting activities, including a Haunted House Trial Tour, Bloody Magic, Haunted Choir, Zombie Jump Jump Jump and more. Proceeds from the event will support the Yan Oi Tong "Love and Care" Project, which provides immediate financial assistance to families who have suffered from natural disasters or unexpected accidents, and provides comprehensive support services for the underprivileged, including study subsidies, improvements to living conditions and a food bank. Date: 26 October 2013 (Saturday) Time: 3pm – 8pm Enquiry & Registration Hotline: 2655 7711 Howl-O-Ween Live Music Fundraising Festival The following day, on 27 October, The Link and the Society for Abandoned Animals will make use of Stanley Plaza’s dog friendly environment to raise funds for the care of abandoned animals at the Howl-O-Ween Live Music Fundraising Festival. Proceeds from the festival, which aims to raise public awareness of animal protection, will go towards food and medical services expenses for elderly abandoned animals. In addition to live music, there will also be Halloween make-up booths, DIY workshops, a doggie snack bar, a photo station and more.
