| The Link is cooperating with the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) to provide free venues and publicity for 16 performances by five arts groups in the Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme 2012. The performances will be held from 5 August to 28 October in The Link’s shopping centres, with the objective of promoting the development of the arts in Hong Kong.
Performing groups include the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble, DanceArt Hong Kong, Ng Cheuk-yin (SIU2), Unlock Dancing Plaza and Theatre Ronin. They will bring audiences a variety of unique experiences, including Chinese and Western music, dance and drama. The schedule of performances is as follows:
Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble “Touring Hong Kong: China Odyssey” Touring Concert The Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme was launched by LCSD in 1999. Every year, local performing artists and arts groups are invited as Cultural Ambassadors to promote the performing arts through workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions and performances. Over 81 performing artists and arts groups have been selected as Cultural Ambassadors since the launch of the scheme.
As the shopping centres of The Link are closely connected with their respective communities, The Link supports the sustainable development of local arts and culture by sponsoring venues for public performances and exhibitions.
