Link’s Lung Cheung Plaza and Wong Tai Sin Shopping Centre have been integrated into one flagship shopping centre, Temple Mall, that officially opened today! The Mall has been completely updated and offers a more diverse tenant mix. Shop numbers have increased from 90 to 110, providing district shoppers with more choice and variety.
“When planning the centre’s revitalisation, Link set out to integrate elements of Wong Tai Sin district’s distinctive cultural heritage. Temple Mall’s logo design includes an artistic rendering of Wong Tai Sin Temple’s iconic lanterns, highlighting these traditional elements in a contemporary light,” George Hongchoy, Chief Executive Officer of Link Asset Management explained.
New areas of focus at the mall include the addition of retail brands popular with young shoppers, health and personal care brands as well as the familiar services and brands that cater to residents’ daily needs.
Temple Mall has also become a hub for great food, serving up Chinese, Western, Japanese, Thai, Shanghainese and other cuisines. The mall has attracted many popular restaurants to open in the district for the first time such as Ant One, Shanghaiteng 1930 by Shanghai Po Po as well as the famous Trusty Congee King, recommended in the Michelin Guide for five years in a row.
At Temple Mall today, Link launched the ‘Christmas Chill Out’ to raise awareness of personal mental health through a fun-filled game zone designed to release stress. The fun exercises at the ‘Dance Dance Revolution’, ‘Hammer Game’ and ‘Happiness Challenge’ stations help release endorphins, also known as ‘the happiness hormone’, which when released leads to a more relaxed state of mind.
