The Link’s Stanley Plaza PAWS by The Sea 2013 will be returning for its third edition this month! The past two editions have been very well received, attracting the participation of a large number of dog lovers who combined to set new Guinness World Records two years in a row. This year, the theme of the event is ‘New Take on Life and Style in Doggies’ Way’, and Stanley Plaza will be teaming up with the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA) to offer a series of vibrant and fun-filled activities, including the Doggie Prom Party and Top Doggie Runway, to give dogs and their owners an exciting and unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival long weekend (September 20, 21, 22 and 29). In addition, there will be an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the third consecutive year. This is your chance to be part of a world record, and it is not to be missed!
Exciting Activities That Promote ‘New Take on Life and Style in Doggie’s Way’ The Link’s Stanley Plaza PAWS by The Sea 2013 will offer exciting line-up of activities, including a fun and informative ‘Stanley Plaza Canine Carnival’ that centres around areas such as canine health, entertainment and social skills. Besides the fun-filled game stalls, the carnival also includes the ‘Doggie Prom Party’, where dog owners can dress up their pets and dance to great music, and the ‘Top Doggie Runway’, which will give dogs a chance to showcase their modelling talents in a bid to become the top model and win amazing prizes. The ‘Stanley Plaza x Dogaroo Doggie Dance Playground’ will be held concurrently to provide pets with a host of facilities to flex their muscles and make friends. Third Guinness World Record Attempt: ‘Largest Dog Grooming Lesson’ Last year, Stanley Plaza managed to set a Guinness World Record in the category ‘most people brushing dogs’ teeth simultaneously’. This year, the carnival will be taking another challenge at the Guinness World Records by inviting dog owners to be part of history by attending the ‘Largest Dog Grooming Lesson’. All participants will be given a certificate for their involvement. With all the activities available free of charge, this is an event that cannot be missed by all dog owners. All dogs that have been registered for PAWS by the Sea 2013 will receive fantastic gifts and a pair of trendy doggie sunglasses, while stock lasts. Interested dog owners can register online now at stanleyplaza.com or thelink.com.hk. In order to facilitate easy access to and from Stanley Plaza, The Link will be working with 99busHK again to provide transportation for dog owners and their pets between Stanley Plaza and Central Pier, Mong Kok, Yuen Long and Tai Po for two consecutive weekends.
