Since 2011, The Link has operated the only themed haunted house in Hong Kong with free admission, which has made it one of the most popular Halloween attractions in the city. Located in Lok Fu Plaza, the company’s flagship retail property, this year’s haunted house, Lok Fu Plaza Dark Mansion, was designed based on the abandoned 18th-century colonial Villa Nabila in Malaysia. With an area of approximately 4,000 square feet, the mansion has raised the bar for horror, with frightening scenes and effects comparable to theme park Halloween attractions. In addition to the haunted mansion, The Link is hosting the Crazy Halloween Carnival, introducing a 3D imaging ghost-hunting smartphone app, and partnering with selected food and beverage outlets to provide special Halloween cuisine. Experiencing unprecedented horror by venturing into the Dark Mansion alone
The haunted mansion is comprised of 10 separate compartments, each associated with daunting horror legends. Inside, the intense fear of oppression is vividly portrayed by cinematic lighting, special sound effect and secret traps, as if visitors were back to the haunted scene. There are two routes for the mansion. Visitors are required to walk through two specific spine-chilling scenes alone, challenging their guts from a whole new level! From 19 September to 31 October, the Dark Mansion, which is located at Lok Fu Plaza, will be open to the public with free admission every Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Shoppers who spend HK$300 or above in 10 designated shopping centres of The Link (including Lok Fu Plaza, Chung Fu Plaza, Cheung Fat Plaza, Kai Tin Shopping Centre, Lei Yue Mun Plaza, Hau Tak Shopping Centre, Maritime Bay Shopping Mall, Wo Che Plaza, Wong Tai Sin Plaza and Leung King Plaza), can redeem one Express Package by presenting two machine-printed receipts issued on the same day from the same mall. The package includes two express passes for fast lane entry into the Dark Mansion, two carnival tickets and a pair of Halloween glasses (limited to 8,000 glasses only, available while stock lasts). Crazy Halloween Carnival creates a terrifyingly fun and tasty experience
Those who do not dare venture into the haunted mansion can instead enjoy the joy of Halloween by participating in a wide range of other activities. For example, The Link has developed a smartphone app that uses imaging technology to give users the ability to catch ghosts, take scary photos and share them with friends through social media. In addition, at the Crazy Halloween Carnival that will be held concurrently at Lok Fu Plaza, participants can play games at the Halloween game booths, try on some creative Halloween make-up and enjoy Halloween street magic performances. Shoppers who spend HK$200 or above in Lok Fu Plaza are welcome to redeem two carnival tickets, by presenting two machine-printed receipts issued on the same day. Moreover, some food and beverage outlets in Lok Fu Plaza will present a variety of special Halloween cuisine featuring exceptional flavours and appearances. And the Halloween fun is not just available at Lok Fu Plaza! Ghosts will also make appearances in 10 designated shopping centres of The Link, including Chung Fu Plaza, Cheung Fat Plaza, Kai Tin Shopping Centre, Lei Yue Mun Plaza, Hau Tak Shopping Centre, Maritime Bay Shopping Mall, Wo Che Plaza, Wong Tai Sin Plaza and Leung King Plaza, where they will bring everyone Halloween treats and pose for spooky photos. |
