Link Asset Management Limited (Link), the manager of Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT, Hong Kong stock code: 823), today unveiled the “Link Fortune Wall Wong Tai Sin” at Temple Mall. This placemaking initiative blends traditional culture, calligraphic arts and contemporary design to create a new cultural landmark for the district, celebrating community collaboration and the sharing of blessings.
Located on Fortune Lane, the main pathway connecting Temple Mall North, the renowned Wong Tai Sin Temple and the Wong Tai Sin MTR station, the installation measures 18 metres in length and 3.8 metres in height. It showcases 108 distinctive calligraphic renditions of the Chinese character for “fortune”. The design also subtly incorporates the outline of Lion Rock into its visual composition, paying tribute to Hong Kong’s resilience and reflecting the district’s geographic identity.
In addition to the Fortune Wall, the over 4,000-square-foot Fortune Lane features a traditional hanging ornament installation, a Chinese zodiac-themed illustrated wall, and an integrated LED wall. Through thoughtful placemaking, these elements collectively form a distinctive district landmark that blends art, calligraphy and cultural heritage, inviting visitors to pause, experience traditional culture and engage with the community.
Emmanuel Farcis, Link’s Group Managing Director – Asset Management, said: “Temple Mall has long supported the cultural traditions treasured by our community. By bringing together blessings from contributors of all ages and backgrounds, the Fortune Wall creates a space where tradition and community intersect. The project transforms what was once a single-purpose passageway into a cultural landmark for the district, offering residents, tourists and shoppers a unique experience. We are grateful to every contributor, and we hope this installation will foster a sense of connection and shared positivity across Hong Kong.”
Link Fortune Wall Wong Tai Sin was led by Link in collaboration with art consultant Heiman Ng, the project’s curator. It was co-created by contributors of different ages and backgrounds, including Thomas Wu, District Officer (Wong Tai Sin); Dr Lee Yiu-fai (Yee Kok), Abbot of Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple; Olympic medallist Lee Lai-shan; fencer Ryan Choi; esteemed designers Dr Kan Tai-keung and Karen Chan; legendary lyricist Cheng Kok-kong; calligrapher Ou Da-wei; ink painters He Baili and Owen Wong Kai-wai, and veteran actress Lana Wong Wai-lin, alongside Link employees, Link scholarship recipients and community partners. The unveiling ceremony held today was attended by Link’s management, as well as contributors and other guests, highlighting the collaborative spirit behind the project.
To extend the experience beyond the physical installation, Link will launch a festive “Catch the Fortune” AR game at Temple Mall, T Town and Kai Tin Shopping Centre from 26 February to 31 March 2026. By scanning QR codes in designated zones to collect different “Fortune” characters, shoppers can earn a chance to participate in the Grand Lucky Draw. In addition, for every “Fortune” captured, Link will donate $1 to the Sik Sik Yuen Ho Chui District Community Centre for Senior Citizens, up to $100,000, as a gesture of support to the community.
