Timeless exploration: Unveiling hidden wonders along Tung Chung Cycle Track

Link is proud to announce the return of a new edition of “Tuen Mun Adventure”, grander than its previous iterations. From 22 September to 30 November, Link offers a curated exploration of the finest natural landscapes in Hong Kong with the theme “Adventure Unleashed”. The initiative introduces two scenic trekking trails and two cycling routes, designed by the mountain aficionados CC Wandering and ABCat – both well-known YouTubers.

Broadening the scope of Tuen Mun Adventure, apart from a collection of amazing natural marvels and rich cultural sites in Tuen Mun, connecting to Link’s malls including Leung King Plaza, Butterfly Plaza, Fu Tai Shopping Centre and Sam Shing Commercial Centre, this year’s expanded edition also encompasses the allure of Long Ping Commercial Centre in Yuen Long and Fu Tung Plaza and Yat Tung Shopping Centre in Tung Chung, unveiling their hidden gems while promoting a deeper connection with nature. While maintaining the perennial appeal of hiking and cycling, this year's addition of a self-driving component adds a new dimension to the adventure. For moments of rest or refreshment, Link’s malls are strategically situated to facilitate an uninterrupted “Adventure Unleashed” journey. Prepare to navigate through unforgettable landscapes while immersing yourself in an unparalleled exploration experience.

Timeless exploration: Unveiling hidden wonders along Tung Chung Cycle Track

Starting from Fu Tung Plaza, the first stop takes you to Ma Wan Chung Village and Ma Wan Chung Pier, both echoing over 1,000 years of history. Experience the traditional vibes of the fishing village and enjoy the shimmering seascape from the pier while taking in the leisurely ambiance of Tung Chung. Continue biking to the Hau Wong Bridge, where the landscape unfolds with a vast canvas of mangroves and mudflats. Adjacent, the revered Hau Wong Temple, a Grade II historic landmark in Hong Kong, stands as a testament to the area’s rich heritage. Push forward to Tung Chung Fort, an iconic monument from the Qing Dynasty, brimming with historical significance. For those seeking a quick break or a snack, Yat Tung Shopping Centre awaits nearby. The trail ends near Tung Chung Station and, if you are up for it, you can ascend the mountain to watch the mesmerising sunset from a unique vantage point.

Mountains and seascape: Scenic delights along Tuen Mun Cycling Lane

Embark on a scenic ride to uncover Hong Kong's distinctive landscapes. Setting out from Butterfly Plaza, choose between the tranquil Tuen Mun Trail or the picturesque path from Fu Tei to Lam Tei Reservoir. This serene route promises a visual feast with panoramic views from the reservoir’s dam. Recharge at Leung King Plaza before riding towards Yuen Long, heading to Fung Lok Wai. Fondly known as Hong Kong’s “Mirror of the Sky”, the locale also offers an invigorating climb up Ah Kai Mountain. From its peak, fish ponds of Fung Lok Wai and the stunning vistas of Nam Sang Wai Reservoir. Afterwards, consider a pit stop at Long Ping Commercial Centre for some relaxation or a meal, and conclude your journey at Shui Mei Tsuen in Kam Tin, home to the ancient Kam Tin Tree House.

Camp out in Nature: 2D1N Car Camping Day

To provide everyone a respite from the bustle of city life, Link has partnered with Hong Kong’s car camping specialist, Autocamper, to host the first-ever “2D1N Car Camping Day”. The campsite will be equipped with all necessary camping amenities, including tents, tables and chairs, cooking equipment, camping mats, camping lights and other camping equipment.

The 2D1N Car Camping Day offers a curated selection of activities, including band performances, gourmet outdoor cooking sessions, artisanal craft workshops, and morning yoga experiences.

Breathe in the wilderness: Mindfulness tour

Seeking a profound immersion in nature and a respite from the bustling urban landscape? Link presents the “Mindfulness Tour” this November, incorporating practices such as singing bowls, tree embracing and reflective drawing to foster a profound connection with nature and facilitate enhanced self-awareness through sensory engagement. During the event period, merchant offers are available at various Link shopping malls in both Tuen Mun and Tung Chung.

“Tuen Mun Adventure” has an official Instagram account (@tma.hk) to share information about this event and suggestions for excursions. Everyone is invited to explore local “Adventure Unleashed” experiences and share their discoveries on the IG platform, collaboratively creating a #TMALog. Together, we can discover new routes and uncover more scenic spots.

All the above activities are subject to terms and conditions. Please note that event details are subject to change without prior notice.
