Link Together Initiatives, Link’s flagship charity and community engagement programme, is open for applications from today (Tuesday) to 7 May (Tuesday) 2024. The programme aims to support charitable groups and non-government organisations (NGOs) to deliver creative and impactful projects in the focus areas of environmental sustainability, inclusion and active ageing and youth empowerment to address the evolving needs in the community.
NGOs are encouraged to submit joint projects that collaborate with social enterprises or other NGOs but this is not a requirement. The joint projects will be considered with priority on top of the projects’ own merits in this year’s assessment process. Last year, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Link Together Initiatives, Link organised Collab Fest, an event that served as a cross-sector platform connecting 42 charitable organisations, social enterprises and social innovators from different sectors to drive social innovation by leveraging each other’s expertise and resources.
Link each year contributes an amount of up to 0.25% of its net property income from the previous financial year to Link Together Initiatives ever since the programme began in 2013. Over the past decade, the programme has committed $140 million to support more than 180 community service projects, benefitting more than 16 million people.
A pre-application briefing session was held on 8 March at Link Sustainability Lab, located at Lok Fu Place. The briefing was conducted in hybrid format and was attended by more than 150 NGOs. Organisations interested in applying for the 2024/25 funding cycle shall submit their applications online through Link’s website. For details about the application process, please visit Link Together Initiatives.
