Artists with disabilities performed modern dance and ballet in Stanley Plaza, impressed the audience with their talents and abilities.

The Link Management Limited (“The Link”) has long advocated sustainable community development by promoting eco-friendliness, adding barrier-free facilities and supporting activities organised by various organisations to raise quality of life. In line with this, The Link has partnered with the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong (ADAHK) to organise “Jeté on Piano”, community inclusion events featuring music and dance that were held last weekend (22 and 23 March 2014) at Stanley Plaza and Lok Fu Plaza.

The ADAHK established the Artists with Disability Development Fund since 2013 to finance the artistic development and education of talented Hong Kong artists with disabilities, and to promote social integration and inclusion through the arts. Three grantees of the Fund, Christine Lau, Lee Shingand Jason Wong, combined with Victor Ma, the Artistic Director of Y-Space Dance Company, professional dancers and student performers to perform “Jeté on Piano”, a lively mix of music, ballet, modern dance and hip-hop. The performance included an entertaining interpretation of the classical ballet “Swan Lake”, whose central theme embodies the very idea of community inclusion.

Hilda Wong, Head of Marketing of The Link, said, “The Link has long supported sustainable community development by leveraging its shopping malls as a platform for art exchange. We are very pleased to cooperate with the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong to organise ‘Jeté on Piano’, which helps us deliver on the ADAHK’s vision of ‘Art is for everyone’.”
