To capitalize on the excitement of the 2012 London Olympics, The Link shopping centres will be turned into Olympic-style venues for Hong Kong’s first and largest Mario & Sonic themed Wii Game Competition. The event will provide an excellent platform for promoting sports in the community. The HK’s First Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™ Free Trial Olympic racing and equestrian tracks, gymnasiums and shooting grounds will be set up in 14 shopping centres of The Link, where shoppers can play 21 Olympic themed Wii games from Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games ™ for free. Through the motion-sensing capabilities of the Wii, participants can take part in a realistic simulation of their favourite sports. The new Mario Party 9 (Chinese Version) will also be available for free trial. First and Largest Mario Wii Game Competition
Hong Kong’s first Mario Wii Game Competition will be held every Sunday from 1 August in 6 shopping centres of The Link. The Final will be on 2 September at Lok Fu Plaza. People of all ages are welcome to join and compete for the championship. Winner of the Mario Wii Game Competition will get a Samsung Galaxy SIII, with other fabulous prizes going to runners-up. “Re-birth” rounds will also be organised on the day of the final to give a second chance to contestants who lost in the qualifying rounds.
