The “Dream Chariot” was made by local toy group “Dr. Bricks” under The Link’s invitation, to celebrate the opening of the “HK Toy Museum @ The Link”. The chariot was painstakingly assembled by 10 people using 200,000 toy bricks for a continuous 300 hours over 2 weeks, and The Link will challenge the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest toy brick car.

Pang, who will serve as the Honorary Curator of the museum which showcases an exclusive selection of over 10,000 valuable toys from Pang’s private collection, is the largest ever permanent toy museum in Hong Kong. Pang introduced the debut exhibitions of limited edition and out of production toys from around the world at the kick off ceremony.

The “HK Toy Museum @ The Link” Micro Movie Competition is now on! Participants have the chance to win SONY cameras worth over HK$30,000 by making a micro movie that uses toys as the main theme.

The Link Management Limited (“The Link”) has partnered with famous movie director Oxide Pang to present a permanent toy museum at Lok Fu Plaza. Opening today, the “HK Toy Museum @ The Link” is the largest ever in Hong Kong, boasting an exclusive selection of over 10,000 valuable toys from Pang’s private collection.

Gathering the Strength of Toy Lovers to Challenge the Guinness World Record for “The World’s Largest Remote Toy Brick Car”
The opening ceremony of the “HK Toy Museum @ The Link” was held today, and Pang and other officiating guests, including George Hongchoy, CEO of The Link, Hilda Wong, Head of Marketing of The Link, and famous DJ Sammy Leung, entered the stage on a “Dream Chariot”, which was specially made by local toy group “Dr. Bricks” under The Link’s invitation, to celebrate the opening of the “Hong Kong Toy Museum @ The Link”. The chariot was painstakingly assembled by 10 people using 200,000 toy bricks for a continuous 300 hours over 2 weeks, and The Link will challenge the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest remote toy brick car. The vibrant opening ceremony attracted over fifty members of the media.

At the opening ceremony, Pang said, “Setting up a toy museum has always been my dream, and now my dream has come true! The museum provides toy fans a platform to share their passion and creativity. We welcome all toy collectors to showcase their collections.”

Hong Kong’s Largest Toy Museum is Perfect for Toy Lovers
The “HK Toy Museum @ The Link” is free and open to the public, showcasing a collection of over 10,000 unique toys, including debut exhibitions of limited edition and out of production toys from around the world. Pang, who will serve as the Honorary Curator, will be present occasionally to meet the public. To celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Lok Fu Plaza, The Link will roll out a series of toy-themed activities, making Lok Fu Plaza a prime destination for toy lovers.

- Participants can fold unique paper toys with instructions from the workshop tutors. (Participation will be allowed after certain spending limits are reached).
