Link Asset Management Limited (Link), the manager of Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT, Hong Kong stock code: 823), today announced that the Tour de Link 2023, which was held in two rounds from 2 to 27 August 2023 at six of Link’s malls across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, has come to a successful conclusion. A total of 14,364 riders participated in the event, 40% more from last year, who collectively rode a total distance of over 38,800 km this year, a 26% increase from last year, which is equivalent to three times the shortest flying distance between Hong Kong and New York, and set new records in both the number of riders and total mileage together.

Held from 2 to 27 of August in six of Link’s shopping centres – Lok Fu Place, TKO Spot, Wo Che Plaza, Kai Tin Shopping Centre, T Town and Oi Tung Shopping Centre – this year’s Tour de Link competition categories included men's, women's, children’s and family, riders of all ages can compete to become the "Hong Kong Cycling Champ". The new Ace Team category attracted more than 1,000 participants to form 117 teams to compete for the title of “Hong Kong Ace Team”.
For the first time, participants of Oi Tung Shopping Centre in Shau Kei Wan demonstrated their solidarity by winning the championship with a total mileage of 8,329 km cycled. Riders of TKO Spot in Tseung Kwan O won the first round of the competition against two-time winner Lok Fu. On behalf of Shau Kei Wan and Tseung Kwan O participants, Link donated $100,000 worth of meal coupons through 12 welfare NGOs in two districts, including New Home Association Jockey Club Hong Kong East Service Centre, Lok Kwan Social Service, Siu Sai Wan Jockey Club Housing for the Elderly, Hing Tung Community Network, Aldrich Bay Residents Association, Health for Community Association, Haven of Hope District Elderly Community Centre, Hong Kong Family Welfare Kin Ming Service Centre (Elderly Service), Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O Women’s Association, Sheung Tak Estate Residents’ Association, Hong Kong ABWE Social Services, and Tseung Kwan O Kai Fong Joint Association, sharing love and caring to residents in need.
The "Hong Kong Cycling Champ" in men’s and women’s categories came from Kai Tin Shopping Centre while children’s and family categories were from Lok Fu Place and T Town respectively. The “Hong Kong Ace Team” title went to TEAMGOLD 戰隊 team, and 挑戰者 CHERRY was awarded “Ace Team MVP” title.
