Interview Tips

We understand that scholarship interviews can be nerve-wracking. To help you prepare, check out the tips below from our previous scholarship judges and all-time scholars.

Mr Chan Wai Wai, Fletch
Director of Information Services

Mr Fung Tak Hung
Chief Media Strategy Officer, HK01

SIT KA CHUN

The Chinese University of Hong Kong

"Before the scholarship interview, it is essential to familiarise yourself with enterprise-related concepts, such as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG).

In addition, it would be beneficial to pay more attention to current news and affairs, like the policies implemented on the enterprises in Hong Kong, mainland or even foreign countries.

During the interview, smiling and being calm can give a good impression to the interviewers. Besides, giving sincere responses based on what you have heard from other candidates, followed by concise elaboration of your own insights should make you to be favorably considered."

SO YONG YIN EVA

The Chinese University of Hong Kong

"The interview often involves group discussions and team tasks.  In addition to expressing your viewpoints, it is important to demonstrate cooperation. How to interact and communicate effectively with group members? How to showcase your strengths appropriately?

It is suggested to observe the group dynamics and take on a suitable team role like a leader, coordinator, or executor. Clear role positioning not only contributes to group discussions but also helps people remember your performance!

Stay informed about current events, Link's community involvement, and reflect on your social service experiences. These will enable you to articulate your thoughts and make a strong impression during group discussions.

Good luck with your interview!"
