Food Angel is committed to reduce food waste by collecting surplus yet edible food from Link’s fresh markets and shopping centres, transforming it into nutritious meals and food packs for elderly, low-income families, and those in need. The project aims to benefit more than 1.3 million people by recycling over 375 tonnes of food this year. It continues to train university students as ambassadors for sustainability and community care, merging food aid with youth education to nurture a food-wise, inclusive community.
Surplus food are collected at 39 Link’s fresh markets, with food collection box available at 16 Link’s shopping centres below to collect unwanted dry food with an intact package and 4 weeks or more before expiration date.
