Our business is closely linked to people’s daily lives, especially in locations where our shopping malls provide everyday needs for the people from the immediate area. These premises not only serve to provide shopping and dining facilities, but also act as social hubs designed to bring the community together.
With the concept of placemaking, we plan, design, operate and manage public spaces with people in mind, reinvigorating our premises into places for community engagement and interaction. All of which represents our commitment to the sustainable community.
Every place has its distinctive history, culture and characteristics. Placemaking is about amplifying the uniqueness of a place with the help of creativity, turning it into a public space with special meaning to the people in the neighbourhood, as well as enhancing their sense of belonging to the community.
From mural art to architecture with distinctive features, each design is a special scene all of its own, telling the story of every unique community.
Our shopping centres, sports facilities and recreational areas link people by providing spaces for them to meet and greet, interact and build relations.
We reinvigorate communities by re-inventing spaces and enrich lives by inspiring creativity and imagination in every corner.
We improved an outdoor play area for the public library in Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre, offering a space for nearby residents to relax and chill out. We invited our consultant, contractors, vendors, together with Link’s volunteer team, to provide complimentary wall painting and decoration services, co-creating an oasis in the bustling neighbourhood.
We created a lively entrance area for the Salvation Army Service Centre in Wan Tsui Shopping Centre in Chai Wan, following small renovation works by our consultant and contractors. Link’s volunteer team also furnished the wall with paintings of food favoured by local residents. The decoration doubles as an attraction to shoppers and diners from other districts.
To fully live up to the true meaning of placemaking, the facilities must be accessible to all, regardless of their age, physical and financial abilities. All of Link's properties are equipped with basic barrier-free access passages and facilities.
