Organized by Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation (‘HKYAF’), The Link served as a venue sponsor of The Big Ride Finale, which was held at Joy Square, Tin Shui Shopping Centre on 11 Dec. To showcase the fruitful results of ‘The Big Ride’, over a hundred of youngsters participating in the programme joined the ceremony and the bicycle parade with their art bikes, riding from Tin Shui Shopping Centre to City Centre of Tin Shui Wai.
In addition, the organizer invited 5 famous local artists, namely Graphic Airlines, Gareth Dunster, Jaffa Lam, Wong Tin-yan and Chan Si-link Paul to take part in the ceremony and the bicycle parade, showcasing their master bikes with unique decoration including the Panda Bike, Rabbike, Garden Bike, Mobile Cityscape Bike and Spider Bike.
Being the venue sponsor of the programme, Miss Hilda Wong, Head of Marketing, The Link Management Limited said, ‘To inspire creativity and arts appreciation among youngsters, we are pleased to join hands with Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation in this meaningful programme and provide venue to showcase these artworks. “The Big Ride” event provides opportunities for the school children in Tin Shui Wai to get to know arts and cycling.’
‘The Big Ride’ Arts Programme lasts for a year, which is organized by HKYAF with the support of The Anna Kwanyat Li2001 Living Trust at Give2Asia. Over the past 12 months, HKYAF organized a series of artist-in-residency workshops in Tin Shui Wai, inspiring over 150 youths in the district to decorate their bikes in different creative ways and under different themes. The programme aims to inspire the creativity among youngsters in Tin Shui Wai and promote cycling.
