LINK is committed to “Linking People to a Brighter Future” and bringing a diversified retail and lifestyle experience to all. After property revitalization, T Town (formerly known as Chung Fu Plaza) has taken on a new brand identity and celebrated its grand opening today. The opening ceremony was officiated by Link Asset Management Ltd’s CEO, George Hongchoy and Director (Asset Management - Hong Kong) Peionie Kong, together with famous Singaporean artist Ben Qwek and TV artistes Sharon Chan, Vincent Wong and YoYo Chen.
An easily accessible landmark in Tin Shui Wai
Spanning more than 190,000 square feet, T Town is conveniently located next to the MTR Light Rail stop in Chung Fu, and is also near popular tourist attractions such as the Hong Kong Wetland Park, which makes it the perfect destination for leisure and recreation. Highlighting its significance as a Tin Shui Wai landmark, T Town boasts a water-inspired design motif running from south to north and extending to its external facade. Clinics and nurseries have also been added to enhance service and convenience for residents in the local community.
T Town is now home to more than 120 specialty tenants, ranging from globally-renowned fashion and beauty brands to popular international and specialty restaurants, making it an excellent dining destination with an amazing variety of entertainment in Tin Shui Wai. For example, Duck Garden is a new brand offering Beijing, Sichuan and Shanghai cuisine from the Shanghai Po Po Group in Hong Kong. Jiufen Shifen offers original Taiwanese street food, while Comma is one of the few restaurants providing authentic western food in the district. Customers can easily enjoy delicious cuisine from around the world at affordable prices.
Speaking at the ceremony, George Hongchoy, CEO of Link Asset Management Ltd. said, “To develop and unite our community, LINK is committed to ‘Linking People to a Brighter Future’. This refurbishment has transformed T Town into the largest shopping centre in Tin Shui Wai, bringing a wide range of shopping and dining options to the local community, and providing an exciting retail destination to tourists visiting Tin Shui Wai.”
Challenge the first ‘real-man’ pinball game to experience Tin Shui Wai
T Town also features a “Giant Pinball Adventure”, which is based on a map of Tin Shui Wai’s neighbourhood, including the Hong Kong Wetland Park. Officiating guest Vincent Wong became a “real-man pinball” and journeyed through the fun life-size pinball course.
“T Town is located in Hong Kong’s backyard of Tin Shui Wai, which boasts green hills, lakes and precious monuments and conveniently accessible by car or public transport.” said Vincent after the game. His wife, YoYo added, “Our daughter likes the outdoors and we always seek ideas for family outings. T Town offers the best of both – nature excursions nearby and retail entertainment – it will become one of our destinations for family recreation.” Officiating the Opening Ceremony as well, TV artiste Sharon Chan remarked, “Shopping at T Town lets me relax and I can bring my son along to visit the parks and experience nature firsthand. The addition of clinics and nursery after the refurbishment is also great news for breastfeeding mothers like me. I plan to bring my family to Tin Shui Wai again for an outing and to visit T Town for shopping and family fun.”
Crack the code at the “3D Trickeye Art Experience Zone”
To celebrate the official opening, T Town invited famous artist Ben Qwek from Singapore to design a “3D Trickeye Art Experience Zone” in T Town North, with a number of secret “T” codes hidden for visitors to discover.
During the opening ceremony, Ben shared, “I’m pleased to participate in T Town’s grand opening. In fact, I like Tin Shui Wai very much. While it is surrounded by nature, folks can experience a modern city lifestyle. T Town also offers a number of globally-renowned fashion and beauty brands as well as international restaurants, all under one roof. All these features of T Town can be found in my artwork.”
