"Spin for Good Fortune" with 16,888 Pinwheels at Temple Mall to Celebrate Lunar New Year

To usher in the Lunar New Year, Link’s Temple Mall has created the ‘Pinwheels of Good Fortune’, an auspicious installation crafted from 16,888 pinwheels. Standing 6.8 metres tall in a rainbow-coloured figure-of-eight formation, and attempting to set the Guinness World Records of ‘the world’s largest pinwheel display’, this is a must-see spot for visitors and shoppers to celebrate a prosperous Year of the Dog.

From 30 January to 4 March, the ‘Pinwheels of Good Fortune’ will be at Temple Mall, which is located next to Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple, an essential destination for visitors during Lunar New Year. During the campaign period, visitors who take a photo with the installation and upload it to any social media platform with the hashtag #LinkTempleMall can enter the mall’s exclusive Pinwheels Photo Zone to take unique Lunar New Year snapshots with family and friends.

Lunar New Year Flower Market Kicks Off Alongside ‘Pinwheel of Good Fortune’ Workshops

From 9 to 17 February, a range of festive food and handmade merchandise are offered at Temple Mall’s Flower Market, where visitors can purchase one-of-a-kind goodies from acclaimed local handcrafter Angelie, who paints with both hands instantaneously. What’s more, from the first to the fourth day of Lunar New Year, customers with same-day spending of HK$200 or more can join a ‘Pinwheel of Good Fortune’ Workshop to create a unique pinwheel to spread blessings in the new year.

Redemption Campaign and Festive Events for Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day

During the campaign period, customers with total same-day spending of HK$600 or more can redeem a specially designed ‘Pinwheel of Good Fortune’ canvas tote bag. To celebrate both Valentine’s Day and the Spring Lantern Festival, Temple Mall is also introducing a limited-edition Wish Bottle Workshop for total same-day spending of HK$1,200 or more, offering customers the opportunity to create a glittering decorative gift for loved ones. Moreover, visitors who present a photo with the Statue of Yuelao at Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple can redeem a love charm blessed by the temple free-of-charge.

Throughout the Lunar New Year period, Temple Mall is celebrating the season with plenty of festive events on designated dates, including a meet-and-greet with the Chinese “God of Wealth”, a giveaway of spun cotton candy and dragon’s beard candy, free red banners, Chinese New Year Cabaret Music & Dance Performance, and more.
