Dogs and their owners have much to look forward to with Paws by the Sea 2016 returning for the fifth time, taking place on 10, 16 and 17 January 2016. The carnival will be held at Link’s Stanley Plaza, the first and most dog-friendly shopping centre in Hong Kong. This year’s theme, Doggie’s Got Talent, offers our canine friends the opportunity to strut their stuff at this fun-filled carnival!
Canine carnival challenges the Guinness World Records™ for the fifth time
This year, Paws by the Sea once again challenges the Guinness World Records™. Under the guidance of Suzette Ackermann, Hong Kong’s first ‘doga’ (Dog Yoga) instructor, an attempt at the largest Dog Yoga class will be staged. All participants will receive a complimentary gift and a certificate of participation upon completion of the class.
Visitors and their dogs are also encouraged to dress up and participate in the Doggie’s Got Talent contest to show off their special talents and win fabulous prizes.
Discover your doggie’s five potentials
Stanley Plaza has prepared a plethora of activities for owners to discover the talents of their dogs. Train you dog in table manners at Hong Kong’s first Rooftop Doggie Café offering elegant English afternoon tea sets specially tailored for canines. Or, discover your pet’s artistic talents by creating a new year ‘fai chun’ together. You can also spend designated amounts shopping to redeem a special pet camera and teach your caninie friend to be a master photographer! (A quota of 300 applies, first come, first served).
More activities are available such as the Doga Walk Trail, a dog sitting service and an animal communications booth where you and your dog can exercise together and meet new friends!
All activities are free to join. Participants can register in advance on Linkhk.com, or join on the day. Each participant is only allowed to bring one dog. Entries are limited and are on a first come, first served basis.
Link has once again partnered with 99 Bus HK to offer the charity pet bus shuttle service for the event, operating between Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories and Stanley Plaza.
