BC Lo, Director (Corporate Communications and External Relations) of Link (left), presents a cello collected from the campaign to student representatives from the Music Children Foundation.

The ‘Music Children at Link’ campaign has successfully collected close to 80 donations, including over 10 cellos. These donations will be given to children in need after careful examination and repair.

Link has placed colourfully painted pianos at H.A.N.D.S, Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre and Fu Cheong Shopping Centre for the public to play for free.

Music Children Foundation, one of the awarded charitable organisations of Link Together Initiatives, provides performance opportunities to underprivileged children taking music lessons at its centre, such as this music performance held at Link’s Fu Cheong Shopping Centre in late January 2016.

Link Asset Management Limited (“Link”) and Music Children Foundation announce the successful conclusion of the jointly organised ‘Music Children at Link’ musical instrument collection campaign. Throughout six consecutive weekends from late December 2015 until the end of January 2016, the campaign was met with enthusiastic response from the community, with 75 musical instruments received at 10 of Link’s shopping malls.

All musical instruments collected from the campaign, including trumpets, trombones, French horns, cellos, flutes, clarinets, glockenspiels and other popular instruments will undergo careful examination and repair before being given to underprivileged students taking music lessons at the Music Children Foundation. These donations will help the children develop their interest and talent in classical music.

“We are pleased that the campaign has successfully garnered such generous donations from the community. This year, we have also provided funding of over HK$500,000 to the Music Children Foundation through our Link Together Initiatives. This donation offers underprivileged children the chance to take part in music performances as well as promotes classical music within the community. This is our special way of linking people to a brighter future through music,” said BC Lo, Director of Corporate Communications and External Relations of Link.

Play pianos for free at Link’s three malls
Link has placed colourful pianos painted by local artists at three of its shopping malls for members of the public to play free of charge. Starting from today until 24 April 2016, these pianos are available at H.A.N.D.S, Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre and Fu Cheong Shopping Centre.

Terms and conditions apply. The programme details are subject to change without prior notice. Please refer to the event poster at the designated venues for details.
