As part of the on-going promotion of arts and cultural development in the local community, The Link organizes various cultural activities for the public regularly. This summer, The Link and The Metro Info Radio are co-organising the Kids’ Voice 2013 singing contest, giving children the opportunity to showcase their musical talents, raise their self-confidence and develop their all rounded skills. Free Professional training to develop children’s music potential The 300 participants who have passed the screening procedure of live audition will be invited to attend free classes hosted by professional singers and music teachers. During the programme, they will learn a variety of singing techniques such as pronunciation and vocalisation, as well as skills of self-expression. Opportunity to perform at events organised by The Link and Metro Radio Participants will join different contests in the preliminary round to be conducted at the Link’s designated shopping centres in August. The final 100 participants will compete in the Finale to be held on 25 August at Lok Fu Plaza. Famous composer, arranger and producer Dennie Wong and renowned music producer Chan Siu Bo have been invited to act as judges for the competition. In addition to trophies and cash awards, winners will also have the chance to perform in Metro radio and the Link festival stage event. Enrol today to showcase children’s music talent Applications for enrolment in the competition have begun. All children aged between 5 to 12 are welcome to apply. Applications can be made by submitting a demo disc (deadline: 20 July 2013) or joining the live audition (deadline: 10 July 2013).
