Are there any musical instruments like the flute, clarinet and trumpet lying in your house?
The Link Together Initiatives and Music Children Foundation have joined forces once again to collect musical instruments for recycling at 12 of Link’s shopping malls from March 24 to April 24 this year.
The programme is seeking donation of professional-sized band and orchestra instruments including woodwinds like piccolo, flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, bassoon, and brass instruments like trombone, horn and trumpet.
Instruments for donation should not have any rust or mildew, and must have all accessories and the instrument box.
After cleaning and refurbishment, the musical instruments will be restored to playing condition before being used by children from underprivileged families to learn music. New and good-condition instruments are also welcome.
Besides conserving the environment and reducing waste, the instrument recycle programme is part of the Music for Everyone @Link project that aims to support social development and harmony in the community by giving the “lifetime gift” of music to children and youths who would otherwise not have the opportunity to learn music due to their less advantageous background.
The collection will take place from March 24 –April 24 in 12 Link shopping malls:
Lok Fu Square Plaza | Temple Mall North Wing |
TKO Gateway | Sheung Tak Plaza |
Sau Mau Ping Shopping Centre | Kai Tin Shopping Centre |
Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre | Un Chau Shopping Centre |
Wo Che Plaza | T Town |
