This summer, T Town, Link’s biggest mall in Tin Shui Wai, will be transformed into the lively Amazon rainforest during T Town Green Adventure, running from 5 July to 31 August 2019. This playful and educational event will take visitors on a magical journey showcasing animal installations and immersive experiences that will stimulate all the senses. A special exhibition and informative talks on selected dates will add to the thrills, as well as a jungle trek featuring more than 10 herptiles on loan from local collector Bowie Chan, including the rarest species. Those with a big heart can also give a home to reptiles and amphibians in need at an adoption event co-hosted by the Hong Kong Society of Herpetology Foundation.
T Town has also topped up its comprehensive entertainment offerings with Dream Island, a 9,000-square-foot indoor recreational facility featuring a 2-metre zip wire, a soft slide for toddlers, a party venue with an interactive stage and many more facilities for parents and kids to enjoy quality family time.
Exciting Adventures in the Amazon Rainforest
Customers can become rainforest adventurers crossing the suspension bridge at the virtual reality-enabled, hair-raising Jungle Walk, or listen to the sounds of nature and smell the scents of the rainforest at Sound Valley. In addition, at the Over the Top Challenge, a 2.5-metre-high bouldering wall dares kids to stretch their limbs to reach every foothold and handhold under the guidance of professional rock climbing instructors from GoNature with over 17 years of experience. This is a great chance for kids to improve their coordination as part of their holistic development. With these challenges sure to spark curiosity, little adventurers can wrap up the weekend with a visit to the Hong Kong Wetland Park, also located in Tin Shui Wai, for further exploration and learning!
See More Than 10 Herptiles on Loan from a Local Collector
To deepen public understanding of amphibians and reptiles, on selected dates T Town will exhibit over 10 types of rare and distinctive amphibians and reptiles on loan from local reptile collector Bowie Chan. Bowie will also conduct talks on animals, and introduce various amphibians and reptiles about their characteristics and habitats. T Town is also collaborating with the Hong Kong Society of Herpetology Foundation, Hong Kong’s first and only registered charitable organisation for the welfare of amphibians and reptiles, to organise adoption days to help find a happy home for herptiles in need. The event will help disseminate an animal and environmental friendly message on the principle of “adoption, education and conservation”. The adoption day event will also feature a Forest Hunt, during which participants will be tasked with finding and scanning QR codes scattered throughout the mall to learn fun trivia about reptiles. What’s more, participants who scan every QR code will receive a special gift!
