In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Disney Channel Hong Kong as well as the holiday season, eight popular Disney Channel characters are making their Asian debut at the 10,000-square-foot party venue in The Link’s Lok Fu Plaza to spend an extraordinary Christmas with guests. As part of this celebration, the first collectible Disney antiques exhibit, which features popular Disney Channel cartoon characters, launched on 1 December at HK Toy Museum @ The Link. Visitors can feast their eyes on over 600 vintage collectibles worth more than HK$1 million, among which are rare finds and limited-edition collectibles featuring characters from Disney films and programmes including “Cars”, “Mickey Mouse”, “Phineas and Ferb”, “Sofia the First”, “Stitch!” and “Toy Story”.

Highlights of the exhibition include a dinnerware set that dates from 1930, which features the original versions of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on painted tinware, as well as a pair of Mickey Mouse roller skates manufactured in the 1950s. Limited edition Disney collectibles from around the world are also featured in the exhibition, such as the “Lilo & Stitch” Ukulele from Japan – one of the 300 made exclusively in celebration of the character’s 10th anniversary and with an estimated value of HK$50,000 – as well as the media kit of “Lilo & Stitch”, which was dispatched exclusively to members of the press at the movie’s premiere in 2002.
