The countdown is now on to the re-opening this autumn of Stanley Plaza in Stanley, which will unveil a vibrant and exciting new lifestyle destination on Hong Kong Island. Following an extensive, HK$200-million redevelopment, Stanley Plaza will now offer six-floors of semi-outdoor, high quality retail which will attract affluent shoppers and diners, as well as tourists, to its wide variety of shops and restaurants.
Also part of the “new look” Stanley Plaza will be a stunning new 300-seat amphitheatre located at the seafront piazza, designed for entertainment and events of all kinds and which is likely to become a major attraction for the venue.
The historic landmark Murray House, with its numerous restaurants, al fresco dining and maritime museum, also forms part of the expansive seafront complex.
Stanley Plaza will officially reopen with a two-day ‘World of Food and Music Festival’ from November 26-27 featuring an extravaganza of unique and entertaining experiences designed to showcase the diverse elements and attractions of this new lifestyle destination.
Highlights of the Festival will be live master class demonstrations conducted by famous international and local celebrity food and wine personalities in the outdoor amphitheatre, wine tasting and sampling conducted by wine experts in the ‘Wine Zone’ and a sensational programme of performances by top musicians and performers from the global World Music scene.
Other highlights of the opening programme of events will include Sounds by The Sea, a Popular Music Showcase presenting some of Hong Kong’s top homegrown music bands (November19-20) and Paws by the Sea, a Pet Festival which will highlight Stanley Plaza as a dog-friendly mall, the first in The Link’s portfolio (December3-4).
