United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11(SDG11) - sustainable cities and communities, aims to create inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable human settlements.
In our journey of creating liveable communities, we have brought together experts in their respective fields as well as residents to share their insights. This exhibition will unveil the knowledge we have gathered over the past 20 years, behind how we shape liveable spaces, including the incorporation of ecology alongside technology, how prototypes become ready-for-market, focus on placemaking and fostering care within the community. Perhaps, you will be inspired to do your bit towards making your own community a more liveable one!
To mark Link's 20th anniversary, we invited British artist Emily Allchurch to create artwork “Link: 20 Years Together”. Having visited various districts in Hong Kong, she gathered inspiration from the neighbourhoods where Link’s properties are located, taking thousands of photographs before assembling the collage. The composition includes 12 iconic Link properties and landmarks, with roads and bridges connecting the city and nature, to present a vibrant and dynamic "hill town".
The artwork symbolises Link's efforts over the past 20 years in serving the community by meeting their daily needs, while promoting the adoption of sustainable living.
Emily Allchurch’s work is now on display at Link Sustainability Lab, where visitors can take a close look at how she has incorporated various intricate details in her impactful artwork. Not to be missed!
