Founded in 2011, Shanghai Smiles Foundation focuses on youth education by providing sponsorship to students in need. The 20 sponsored students from underprivileged families in Sichuan have just completed the first year of their three-year estate management course in Shanghai. Through education, vocation training and internship, they will have the opportunities to acquire the skills that can help them escape hardship and change their lives. At the same time, the project can also help meet the demand for skilled labour in the city.
