The portfolio owned by Link REIT includes retail properties in Hong Kong with a floor area of approximately 10 million square feet*, making it the largest of its kind in Hong Kong.
 
60% of our Hong Kong properties situate in the New Territories, while those in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island account for 30% and 10% respectively. Our broad geographical coverage encompasses properties across the territory, which stand in densely populated areas around housing estates and above MTR stations. Such strategic locations help attract foot traffic to our retail facilities and make them hubs of community life.
 
To diversify our asset base geographically, we are prudently extending our reach to first-tier cities in Mainland China, where we have acquired two shopping malls ─ EC Mall in Beijing’s Haidian District and Metropolitan Plaza in Guangzhou’s Liwan District, and a premium grade A office property with retail facilities in Shanghai's Huaihai Middle Road Central Business District ─ Link Square.
 
From destinations and neighbourhood centres to smaller retail facilities and street shops, we strive to offer customers a holistic shopping experience with more choices. Through asset enhancement in our retail space, we create a modern shopping environment that attracts new retailers and addresses the aspirations of consumers.
