Cooked Food Stall

Cooked food stalls are known as dai pai dong (大排檔) or “mushroom pavilions” (冬菇亭) in Hong Kong. They are a common sight at public housing estates, forming part of the tradition and dining culture of Hong Kong people.

The rejuvenation of cooked food stalls is part of our asset enhancement strategy. The gazebo of cooked food stalls in Wong Tai Sin, built in 1982, was the first rejuvenation project. We have completed the renovation works of a number of our “mushroom pavilions” for better operating environment for our tenants who can then offer better dining choices for the community.
