Situated near the famous Wong Tai Sin Temple and a convenient MTR station, Temple Mall South (formerly known as Wong Tai Sin Plaza), forms a part of the district’s Temple Mall. This retail centre serves the needs of local residents from the public housing estate and the nearby development as well as visitors to the Wong Tai Sin Temple.
Link's asset enhancement of Temple Mall South aims is to strengthen the role of the centre as a retail hub for the local community and visitors alike. The enhancement works will improve circulation at ground floor as well as to enhance the trade mix by adding new small and mid-size shops. Shoppers will have more choices and enjoy a better shopping experience. Facade works will be upgrade to maintain the integration with Temple Mall North under the unified Temple Mall identity.
Work scope completed in 2009:
Construct a new entrance at the west end
Installed a lift and extended the footbridge for direct access from the MTR station
Refurbished the atrium to enhance visibility
Installed new escalators to improve circulation
Repartitioned oversized shops and idle space to provide more retail space
