Temple Mall North

Situated near the famous Wong Tai Sin Temple and a convenient MTR station, Temple Mall North (formerly known as Lung Cheung Mall), forms a part of the district’s Temple Mall.  This retail centre serves the needs of local residents from the public housing estates and the nearby private development as well as visitors to the Wong Tai Sin Temple.

 

Link’s asset enhancement of Temple Mall North aims is to strengthen the role of the centre as a retail hub for the local community and visitors alike.  The enhancement works will improve overall shopper circulation, shop front visibility and accessibility to create the welcoming shopping environment and wider customer choices for which Link’s properties are known.

 

With two sections of the shopping centre connected by a footbridge, the Temple Mall showcases lantern-inspired design elements and decorations that appeal to both pedestrians and the vehicular traffic from the road.

Work scope completed in 2008:
​Aligned the centre’s walkway with its retail outlets
Repartitioned retail shops on the ground floor
Installed air-conditioning in the footbridge connecting Temple Mall North and Temple Mall South
 
Work programme to be completed in 2015:
Addition of new escalators and staircases
Repartitioning of overall layout and provision of more small-sized retail shops
Renovation of internal floor, ceiling finishes, entrances, common corridors and installation of new toilets
Enhancement of the external façade facing Lung Cheung Road and Upper Wong Tai Sin estates
Enhancement of Barrier-Free Access facilities
Improvement of centre’s air-conditioning systems
